Treasury Two

I've just been getting lucky as of late for hitting the right for the treasuries. Last Night I managed to snag another spot. This treasury is based on my two favorite colors, hot pink and black.

The Friday Five: Sunshine

So I awoke this morning simply wanting to go back to bed. It was freezing downstairs where our bedroom happens to be located. Yes we opted to have a bedroom on the lower level then the upper level, oddly enough the lower level bedroom is the largest in the house. It has two closets and a connected bathroom, we just have to deal with the coldness in the winter. Anyways, I woke up came upstars and outside it is cold, rainy and grey. Definitely not a very exciting looking Friday. Due to these lovely weather conditions we have, This weeks Friday Five theme is going to be sunshine, which I will be using as my keyword in searches. Just what I need to forget about the dreary weather outside.

My Very First Treasury

So I was roaming around the treasuries earlier today and noticed that the treasury west was going to have some opening. So I staled the treasury for 2 hours so I could make my first one. It was quite exciting and fun to make.

I chose the theme "Nature Inspired" It features items that are well inspired by nature and sticks to a color pallet of mostly brown and greens. I've had spring on the brain lately, I can't wait for the snow to be gone and all the trees to start growing their leaves.

Two new necklaces have also been added to my shop today, both of these are one of a kind designs. You can view these two necklaces and more at my shop, candycrack.etsy.com.

I was also informed by my first customer today that she has been getting tons of comments on her necklace, and is even now thinking about purchasing another!

A Lovely Morning Surprise

Waking up this morning, I was not in a great mood. I was still quite tired and hadn't gotten enough sleep. The cat's kept waking me up, hours before I needed to get up. When I finally did wake up even the lovely sunshine filled morning didn't make a difference. The sunshine simply irritated me. The blinding effect it had as it reflected off the snow just gave me a headache.

So after feeding the cat's and letting out DJ (our dog). I sat down and checked my e-mail and other various Social Networking sites I visit. I noticed I had a convo on etsy, from my most first buyer. It simply read...

The necklace is even more beautiful than I imagined! Thank you so much!

Talk about a lovely morning surprise. What was a terrible morning, turned around after reading these two short sentences.

I had all kinds of first seller jitters. What if she doesn't like it? What if my packaging wasn't good enough and it get's damaged?(Even though it was in a cotton filled jewelry box that was wrapped, and inside a bubble mailer with extra tape) Many other questions and doubts also rushed through my head.

It's amazing the feeling you can get when you find out someone loves the item they bought from you. I look forward to having more happy customers in the future. My first time selling experience was simply great, I hope they all go this well.
